It's an interior remodel with an emphasis on the kitchen and dining room. The owners planned the organization in the kitchen down to the smallest details. The island is generous to accommodate several generations to gather around.

Second Story Addition & Major Remodel

Previously a traditional 1-story house in a sloped lot. We added a new second story to accommodate the Master Suite. The square footage is very limited due to the City of Belmont's restriction. 
The Master Suite is generous with a spacious Master Bath (separate tub, shower, and a toilet room), a Walk-in Closet, a nice alcove for seating or a small home office, and a small Balcony.  
Downstairs has a total remodel with a brand new Kitchen and Bathrooms.

It is a brand new 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house in a small narrow lot (25'x100'  lot). The challenge was to maximize the quality of living within a very limited space while still keeping the mass interesting. The result is dynamic facades with a very efficient layout. The clever massing makes this house appear larger than the real size. This house has outdoor areas at its 3 levels, and the third level is the roof deck that has an astonishing view of the ocean.

Exterior and Landscape

Previously with horizontal wood siding (that made this house look so linear), this house underwent a major exterior upgrading. The horizontal lines were broken up with shorter overhang and new vertical narrow windows. Stone accent at bottom and fiber cement siding at top makes this more balanced.
